How we display PSC data, what we mask, and how to request protection or report issues.

Privacy-first display: We mask sensitive address details (no street/premises, no full postcode) and do not display full dates of birth.

What PSC data is

A PSC is a person or legal entity that ultimately owns or controls a company. PSC data is sourced from Companies House.

How CadFiles.ai uses it

Fetched from Companies House API on demand (when you press “Fetch UK PSC”).
Stored in our uk_psc table for caching and faster display.
Displayed with masking to reduce misuse risk.

What we show

Name (individual or corporate PSC)
Kind (PSC type)
Natures of control
Notified / ceased dates (when present)
Masked location (locality + outward postcode only)

What we mask by default

Street / premises / address lines
Full postcode (we show outward only)
Identity verification details (not shown)
Full date of birth (not shown)

Protection / suppression / safety

If you believe publication creates a serious risk, use the official Companies House protection routes.

Apply for protection of PSC/director details via Companies House processes.
If a PSC record is inaccurate, the authoritative record is Companies House.
We can temporarily suppress display while you pursue official protection, if you provide evidence of a filed request.

Report an issue

For urgent safety concerns, contact us with: company number, PSC entry, and a short description. We will (1) increase masking immediately and (2) review suppression while the official route is processed.
